Run, Soja, Run!
Bethany, Karen, Laura and I watched Brian Soja (and many dozens of other people) run down Crystal Drive, and then back up Crystal Drive at mile 23 of the Marine Corps Marathon today. Everyone was very sweaty (the runners, not the spectators) but it was quite inspiring. We cheered. Brian looked tired, but enthused. The coincidence of the marathon with Halloween led to a few interesting running ensembles--Shrek ears, pumkins shirts, mylar wigs.
I have now returned to my apartment, where I eagerly await the trick-or-treaters who will save me from the sugar-induced coma I will undoubtedly fall into if I eat all the candy I have sitting around.
Also, it is very sunny and beautiful today in Arlington.
