John Matz is Dead
The fish, not the opera singer. By beloved and ancient betta, John Matz, died this weekend of natural causes (old age and tail rot). He was nearly two and a half years old.
In other news, I move into my new apartment over Labor Day weekend, so I hope it won't be sweltering. I got back from Toronto amid all the crazy security stuff just fine, but was dramatically delayed by thunderstorms at La Guardia. If it's not one thing......
Looking forward to two solid weeks of being in New York, so I can actually see the people I know who live here.

So sad, and yet, kind of appropriate. Poor John Matz. Soon to be replaced by a younger, cuter Juan Diego Flores. :)
