DC Adventure
Great things about my weekend:
- A completely easy, uneventful ride down.
- Happy hour specials at Science Club.
- Extracting Elizabeth from her office for an hour or so.
- Scoring (and drinking) the very last two bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau at Bistrot du Coin.
- Delicious food.
- Debating and pondering and strategizing and fantasizing with smart people.
- Snow.
- A too-warm apartment on the third floor in Mt. Pleasant.
- Coffee and television and magazines.
- Ridiculous amounts of snow.
- Being appropriately dressed for the weather, including boots originally purchased for the glaciers in Argentina.
- Underground Metro stations.
- George Clooney.
- Having Drew all to myself for an entire afternoon (sorry Nick).
- Crab salad and spicy pizza and stout at Matchbox.
- Absurd, ridiculous, obscene amounts of snow.
- Cancellation of a bus I didn't want to be on anyway.
- Convincing Jen to spend 4 hours in Union Station so we could have lunch, buy clothes and discuss boys, jobs, travel and then boys again.
- Keeping my cool during a two hour Amtrak delay.
- Aching with love for DC, but knowing why I live in New York.
